CHILI PAKODA

INGREDIENTS

-Green chili – 500 gm

-Potato (boiled and smashed) – 4

-Cumin seeds – ½ tsp

-Carom seeds – ¼ tsp

-Coriander seeds – 1 tsp

-Onion (Chopped) – 1

-Peanut seeds – 30

-Ginger & Garlic (chopped) – ½ & ½ tsp

-Dry mango powder (Aamchur powder) – 1 tsp

-Gram flour (besan) – 1 and ½ cup

-Coriander leaves – 2tbsp

-Salt to taste

-Oil for deep frying

METHOD

-Heat some oil in a pan. Put carom seeds, cumin seeds, coriander seeds and peanuts. Add onion and sauté it for some time. Add chopped ginger and garlic and sauté it for some time till the smell goes away. Add smashed potato, salt and dry mango powder. Mix it all together and switch off the flame.

– Make a small incision in the belly of the long chili and take out all the seeds.

– Stuff the chili with the stuffing. Fill all the chilies and keep it aside.

– In a bowl take gram flour(besan), salt and water and make a thick batter.

– Heat oil in a deep pan.

– Dip the long chili and put in the oil for deep frying.

– Serve the green chili pakoda with ketchup or chutney.mirchi-pakora-green
