SPROUTED LEGUME FRY( SHASYA GOTA DALI BHAJA)
INGREDIENTS
- Chick peas (Kabuli chana)– ¼ cup
- White peas(Safed matar) – ¼ cup
- Bengal Grams(kala chana)- ½ cup
- Green grams(Mung)- ½ Cup
- Red lentils(Masur)- ¼ cup
- Coconut chopped- ¼ cup
- Onion Chopped – 1
- Green Chili-1-2
- Cumin seeds- 1tsp
- Roasted cumin powder- ½ tsp
- Turmeric powder- ¼ tsp
- Oil- 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
METHOD:
- Soak chick peas, white peas, Bengal gram in a bowl for at least 4 hrs. After four hrs , wash the gram thoroughly . Drain the water. Hang the grams in a clean cloth for one day. In between sprinkle little water, so that it does not become dry. The legumes will be sprouted
- Soak green grams and red lentils in a separate bowl for at least 3 hrs. After that follow the same method as above.
- Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds. Let it crackle. Add onion and green chili and sauté for one minute.
- Add sprouted legumes, coconut, turmeric powder and salt. Mix well.
- Add ¾ cup of water, Mix well and cover with a lid. Cook in medium flam till the legumes are boiled.
- Take out the lid and stir fry.
- Sprinkle roasted cumin powder and serve either hot or cold.
