SPROUTED LEGUME FRY( SHASYA GOTA DALI BHAJA)

INGREDIENTS

  • Chick peas (Kabuli chana)– ¼ cup
  • White peas(Safed matar) – ¼ cup
  • Bengal Grams(kala chana)- ½ cup
  • Green grams(Mung)- ½ Cup
  • Red lentils(Masur)- ¼ cup
  • Coconut chopped- ¼ cup
  • Onion Chopped – 1
  • Green Chili-1-2
  • Cumin seeds- 1tsp
  • Roasted cumin powder- ½ tsp
  • Turmeric powder- ¼ tsp
  • Oil- 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

 

METHOD:

  • Soak chick peas, white peas, Bengal gram in a bowl for at least 4 hrs. After four hrs , wash the gram thoroughly . Drain the water. Hang the grams in a clean cloth for one day. In between sprinkle little water, so that it does not become dry. The legumes will be sprouted
  • Soak green grams and red lentils in a separate bowl for at least 3 hrs. After that follow the same method as above.
  • Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds. Let it crackle. Add onion and green chili and sauté for one minute.
  • Add sprouted legumes, coconut, turmeric powder and salt. Mix well.
  • Add ¾ cup of water, Mix well and cover with a lid. Cook in medium flam till the legumes are boiled.
  • Take out the lid and stir fry.
  • Sprinkle roasted cumin powder and serve either hot or cold.
