MANDA PITHA: How to make manda pitha#Banfa manda pitha # Sijha manda pitha # Bhapa mada pitha #Steam Rice ball # Stuffed sweet coconut rice ball #Nadia pura manda pitha.

Ingredients:

Outer covering

Rice powder – 1 cup

Water – 2 cup

Ghee -1 teaspoon

Salt to taste

For Stuffing:

Scrapped coconut -1

Sugar – ¾ cup

Cheena – 200 g

Cardamom powder from 4 cardamoms

Procedure:Sijha manda pitha

Take a utensil with thick base, add salt, ghee, water and rice powder. Mix it continuously over a low flame to prevent lumps and make smooth dough. Cool it.

Stuffing:

Manda Pitha

Take a kadhai and add sugar and coconut. Stir it till the sugar melts. Add cheena and again stir it till the water leaves it. Keep it aside a cool it and add cardamom powder to it.

When cooled take small balls from the dough and apply water over your palm and make small puri like and put the stuffing inside it and seal it using water.

Steam it in a utensil filled with sufficient water for about 6-7 minutes. Your manda pitha is ready.
